Initiatives and achievements Industry Development Department

  1. Close cooperation with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization

 In cooperation with the United Nations Industrial Development Department developed long-term industrial innovative development project - “Reform of perspective innovative development of the industry in Uzbekistan”.


2. Center for Scientific, technical and innovative industrial development

In order to establish strong integration of science and industry in the country, to improve the financial situation and to develop scientific, technical and innovation activities of higher education, as well as ensuring the high efficiency of the students' practical training under Namangan Engineering-Technological Institute developed a project for the creation of a pilot Center for Scientific, technical and innovative industrial development.

The realization of the project expected at the end of Q2 2019 year. 

In order to ensure high efficiency of the center and the possibility of implementing the experience of developed countries, an employee of the Department of Industry Development of the Ministry took part in a short training workshop funded by the Japanese government in Japan.


3. Development of industrial clusters in improving the country's economy

On September 21, 2018, the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan #PD-5544 “On the approval of the Strategy of innovative development of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2019-2021” was approved.

In order to increase the rank of Uzbekistan among the countries of the world in Global Innovative Index, has been developed the project - “Development of Industrial Clusters in boosting the country's economy.".


On the project development it was closely studied the experience of developed foreign countries that are highly ranked on Global Innovative Index at the “State of cluster development” index.

Employee of the Industrial Development Department of the Ministry this year visited the Russian Association of Clusters and Technoparks and exchanged experiences. Also, a systematic and critical analysis of the existing situation on cluster development of the country was conducted.


On the basis of a series of studies and experience of developed countries, the proposals were developed for the development of industrial clusters to improve the country's economy.
